Roy followed her out window, then, hanging on to the edge, cleared it of shards of glass, before dropping to the ground a few feet below, where he broke out in a sprint. Even if clearing it was wasting time, he thought darkly, it meant more Experiments getting through, which meant more targets for the guards to shoot at. As the group ran, he tried to form a plan of how to escape, his mind racing wildly. First he had to know what the situation was like at the compound. Who had let them out? Was it an organized rebellion or just one scientist who disagreed with the morals of the compound? Behind, he could see the massive compound beginning to lock down doors, lowering huge sheets of metal that could stop the largest of the Experiments. Hopefully that wouldn't stop the flood that was already mostly through.

|||  You were part of a mass experiment - one to see if an animals' genetic code could be grafted into human DNA to produce a new race of superhuman.  Some experiments failed and tens of hundreds died…  In result the government hushed the experiment, and the entire thing was immediately brought to a halt.  You are part of the surviving group.  You and the others were kept hidden away, locked in cells or chains for what felt like a very long time, until that fateful day when someone cuts the power.... Security fails. |||

No powerplaying.

No godmodding.

No one-liners:  There is a 30 minimum word count.  OOC comments do not count towards the final post word count.  (And for the Devil's sake use an online word counter.  Counting words by hand never got anyone anywhere.)

No bad grammar.  No 'u' 'i' 'ya' crap.  Using bad grammar OOC is fine, but when you're RolePlaying please try to make sure that you're being literate and realistic.

No super-*insert physical variable here*  I suppose if you've been grafted with a cheetah you'd be able to run a bit faster, but for pete's sake you don't get super-strength if your DNA was meshed with a gecko's.

There was no clock on the wall, no way she could be certain of what time it was.  The only thing that kept Calx in the moment was the food.  She had assumed it was late when the low white noise of electricity disappeared with a dying whine.  Strings of profanity could be heard shouted from the offices near the doorway.  The strange feeling of adrenaline pumped through her veins, Calx pulled her cell door open, immediately being pulled into the flood of flustered experiments in the hallway, pushing each other out of the way in a mad rush towards the single doorway.  In a claustrophobic mess, Calx gripped the shoulders of whoever was in front of her and pushed herself upwards, thrusting her immense wings back and out to lift herself above the crowd.  Gunshots could be heard, amidst the shouts of both experiment and scientist, the sound of bodies hitting the floor, and in an attempt to flee she turned away from the door and flew the other way.  There was a window at the other end of the hall.  Some of the other experiments were already trying to break it.  Calx folded her wings in the second she touched the surface, glass splintered as she dove through.  Fresh air and the dark night sky greeted her.  A fresh surge of adrenaline masked the sting of broken glass embedded within her wrists, the scrapes and sliced flesh on her back.  She was out of that mess for now, at least.  She unfolded her wings to catch her balance as she landed on the spongy ground, and with that she began to sprint.  Flying in this disorder would not be an option - she'd be shot out of the sky.

Seritity was just done being tested, so she was weak and tired, they dragged her back to her cell, and than left her. Than it went dark in her cell, and than she heard all the other inmates escaping, or attempting to. She said out loud "they're all to go to the light, but i prefer the dark. She heard the doors shutting, and than hoped for the others that they would survive, and than went to sleep

Though her muscles burned, Calx never slowed her pace as she ran towards the large concrete wall. She threw her wings outwards, far enough away from the compound that she believed being shot now was hardly an option. Besides, she was alone, wasn't she? Pushed herself into the air, flying upwards to go over the large concrete wall. Just as she started to cross it, a dark crackle of electric power rippled through the air, sending her tumbling through the air to the ground. Laying on her side, wings splayed out to the back, she surveyed her situation. From what she could tell, she wasn't seriously injured. Her wings seemed to be fine. Some of the feathers were slightly singed and smoking, as were pieces of her hair, yet that was hardly what she was worried about now… She'd heard murmurings of special precautions in case of a break out like this… An electric field wasn't what she had originally suspected. "What?!" She said quietly, staring upwards at the wall and space above it. A light still pulsed through the field from the place she had struck, rippling out over the entire compound. She got to her feet, turning slowly in place as she had a horrifying realization - If that was electricity… Sure enough, it seemed that the compound had regained it's dominion over the voltage in this area. She watched wide-eyed as large doors closed, cutting off the flow of Experiments. Still, gunfire exploded through the air, she could hear cries of anguish as the other Experiments were riddled with bullet holes in this macabre laboratory battlefield. The loud hum of electricity, and the flickering of bulbs as lights within the compound started to regain power… Large lights positioned along the concrete began to flicker back to life… If the size of the light was relative to the brightness of the bulb… Everyone on this field would soon be completely visible to the laboratory guard, subjects of target practice, would be doubled over in harrowing grief as their corpses were torn apart by the tiny, dangerous projectiles. She turned her head, seeing another had followed her. "Get away from the lights!" They had to hide. And fast.

Roy watched as the winged Experiment flew up and fell back to the ground. They had no way of escaping while that electrical field was intact. "Everyone!" He shouted, addressing the Experiments that had followed him out the window. "We've got to shut down the generators! This is our-" He was cut off as the courtyard lights turned on, illuminating the entire field and blinding him. He crouched down, disoriented but knowing that somehow he had to avoid being seen by the guards. His eyes slowly became accustomed to the light and he stumbled over to the edge of the wall, dimly thinking that maybe there were blind spots none of the guards could target. Hopefully the lights would blind the guards for a second as well, he needed a plan.

Serenity Woke up in her cell, and then she heard a guard coming, she hid behind the door, and when he came in, with a shotgun and grenades to clean up the facility, he came in, than she underacted her claws, than ripped his throat open, he fired a round, echoing thorough out the entire area, and than he screamed. She than use the grenades to blow up a door, by pure luck, blew up the generator.

The explosion of the grenades rattle her bones, so she waited a long time in the darkness, than she avoided the body of the gui, and then noticed that in the process of blowing up the door, she blew a hole in the floor to the basement, and than she carefully looked around, and than jumped down, not noticing a bar supporting the floor, hit it on the head, than screamed "Marry had a little lamb", and blacked out, hitting the floor with a thud

The lights went off. Calx exhaled a breath of relief. She could try to fly over the wall again, now. Yet as she prepared to launch herself into the air, she heard the deadly hum of the backup generator as it began it's work. Seeing as it was located somewhere deep within the labyrinthine rooms of the compound, finding the second generator alone would be nearly impossible. Calx glanced up at the wall, the other Experiment, and finally turned away from both, sprinting across the dark and weedy stretch of land and hoping that she would make it back before the lights returned. Hiding within the compound itself would more than likely be their best chance of remaining unseen. The electricity whirring slowly back to life, the powerful courtyard lights flickered on, and powerful beams of light once more illuminated the courtyard grasses and the Experiments on it. Calx felt only a small twinge of shame for having left the other behind; he'd probably have slowed her down anyways… Nobody could be trusted, not even those who along with her had been tested and electrocuted and had had their own genetical code messed with. She ducked low to the ground as she ran, wings still pressed tightly against her back, as she reached the building she scrambled through the window she had broken and tumbled onto the dirt stained ground. Bodies littered the floor, a few laboratory guards were at the end of the hall, taking care of those who hadn't made it through the locked doors. The winged Experiment slunk over to a door, opening it as quietly as she could. A flight of stairs, stretching downwards into darkness. She wasted no time entering, and descending the darkened stairs. She listened carefully. Had she heard breathing? Heart rate rising, she felt around in the darkness as her eyes adjusted to the pale yellow light coming from something in the corner. There didn't seem to be anyone here.

OOC: Sorry, that was a rather rushed post. e w e

A anxious scream more classifiable as a terrified wail, stifled by her own hand as she clamped it over her mouth, escaped Calx's throat at the sound and sight of the ceiling inexplicably breaking open. She watched petrified as someone dropped down the hole, shouting something unintelligible as they collapsed onto the floor. Calx turned around, as if expecting armed guards to break through the door at any given second… Which they would, no doubt, be doing very soon. She crept closer to the wall, practically hugging it in order to successfully avoid the area beneath the caved in ceiling. She heard voices, clear as crystal, just above her… Guards. "What the devil?" Followed by bouts of cursing and profanities. Calx quickened her pace in the dark area, ducking into a wide room with a tall ceiling. A flickering lamp hung in the center of the room, suspended by a chain. It granted enough light that she could see what surrounded her: Shelves filled with tools of every kind… Sedatives and gasses of kinds she could not guess. A medical testing room, it appeared. She shut and locked the door behind her, and began to look through the shelves, looking for something she could use to defend herself incase someone else got inside.
